What is this store’s return and exchange policy?
We do not accept returns on cut fabric simply because you changed your mind. Exceptions are always made in certain cases so please reach out with any serious concerns. Returns and exchanges will always be accepted if it's my mistake and I will always cover that cost. If you are granted a return because of a reason other than my mistake, you must pay that shipping cost and your return will be less the cost that I paid to ship your item(s).
Do you accept orders placed outside of the US?
We sure do! I love my international clients! However, I can only accept those orders on the website, Etsy, and through my Facebook group. The Facebook business page shop isn't set up for international orders.
How long will it take for my order to be processed?
I typically try to process orders in 1-2 days. Exceptions are holidays, weekends, or if I closed the local shop for a family event or vacation.
Can I cancel my order after placed?
No. Once we receive your order, it is considered in process. I am not able to cancel and refund the same way Amazon or other big box stores do. Every sale is valuable to me and I count on every order placed to keep my business running. If I need to refund one item that I didn't have, I absolutely will refund that item. But, I am unable to cancel orders simply because you changed your mind; nor can I cancel entire order just because one piece is unavailable.
How long will it take to receive my order?
Once shipped most domestic orders take anywhere from 2 to 7 business days to arrive depending on the efficiency of your local postal service. International shipping delivery times may vary between 1 and 2 weeks.
Do I have to pay sales tax?
Only residents of the state of Illinois will be charged sales tax. The rate for our business location is 8.75% and is subject to change based on state and local laws.
How do I pay for my order? Is it secure?
Our checkout process uses PayPal, one of the most trusted online payment solutions on the web. Because of this, our website has all the same securities and payment fraud protection as PayPal.com. Before entering any personal credit card information, you will be transferred to PayPal’s secure servers. PayPal accepts Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express and Diners Club. You may also make payments using your bank account, but this may delay your order.
Do I really get a human when I call The Fabric Cobbler?
Yes you absolutely do. If you call Scarlett’s cell phone, you will get a response from Scarlett. The only time she does not answer is if she is completely unavailable due to a meeting or another phone call. If you are international, please try to look at the time zone differences. Scarlett is in the Central Standard Time Zone and puts her phone on silent at the latest at one a.m. but sometimes earlier.
Shipping charges add up. Can I get free shipping if I order large quantities?
We apologize for any inconvenience but as a small business, we are unable to offer free shipping promotions as a constant policy. We hope clients will understand that if we were to offer continuous free shipping as a policy, we would have to raise prices significantly to accommodate that.
When you look at free shipping on Etsy and the Facebook business page shopping carts, that is because I have factored in the cost of shipping to my items to make shopping easier on those platforms. On those two platforms, customizing shipping isn't actually simple so this was the best method.
